Pearl Social is located in the Funk Zone of Santa Barbara. This neighborhood with its corrugated roofs covering tiny surf shops, beach types living out of their vans, cool artists and plenty of fabrication shops has taken off in the last decade. The area now has the addition of winery tasting rooms, cool restaurants, great coffee houses and yes, a lot of cool, young L.A. folks packing the places. Our client, Acme Hospitality Group led by the powerhouse, Sherry Villanueva, has opened the busiest restaurants in Santa Barbara: The Lark, Loquita, Lucky Penny, Tyger Tyger, La Paloma, and more. We have collaborated with Sherry on all of these projects. For Pearl Social, she wanted to create a bar where you could go one night and hear live jazz and on another, you might hear a poetry reading followed by a DJ spinning her favorite tunes. The cocktail program is exceptional.
