August Bradley has been selected as a “Hasselblad Master” for 2008.
“Given in recognition of a photographer’s contribution to the art of photography, the Master Award is judged on photographic ability, encompassing creativity, composition, conceptual strength and technical skill.”
“The ten Hasselblad Masters for 2008 will each be provided with a Hasselblad H3DII DSLR camera system 2008 Masters Book.”

August Bradley has joined the board of “Cool Green Fashion for Forests“, an organization leveraging it’s relationships with the fashion and entertainment industries to help reduce greenhouse gases in the atmosphere through direct action, community education, and social motivation. August Bradley’s portfolio website has climbed to the third place rating in the popular Alexa internet ranking “Fashion Photography” directory, joining the top three along with David LaChapelle and Jill Greenberg — two of the most well-known photographers in the country.

Leading design and commercial art publication Graphis has selected August’s work to be included in the Graphis Photography Annual 2008.
As described by the publication, “Graphis Photography Annual 2008 is a beautiful collection of the year’s best photographs, shot by some of the world’s most respected artists. Each photo has earned a new Graphis Gold Award for excellence.”
The Graphis Photo Annual 2008 will be available for $60 in December.

The International Photography Awards (IPA) has announced the winners of this year’s IPA “Photographer of the Year Awards”.
August Bradley’s work received the 2nd and 3rd place awards for the professional “Beauty Advertising” category. [View]
August’s work also received 12 “Honorable Mentions” across the professional Fashion, Portrait, Catalog, and Beauty categories. [View]
With nearly 20,000 entries from over 90 countries, IPA is the world’s largest photo competition. The winning pieces will be published in the 2007 Lucie Awards coffee table book [book link]. The Best of Show Exhibit will travel worldwide after its debut in New York.
The winning beauty images were created by an exceptional team - Hair Stylists: Marc Mapile (for Sexy Hair) & Norma Blaque, Makeup Artist: Kelsey Deenhan, Makeup Assistant: Janeena Merricks, Model: Teresa at Vision Models L.A.

At the request of the Management Committee, August is contributing images to Cool Green Fashion for Forests and it’s efforts to raise money for and awareness of environmental conservation. The organization will be producing an annual fund-raiser fashion show, as well as creating a number of media projects to celebrate and encourage eco-friendly business practices in the industry.
